Q: What do you mean by "Investor"?
Within the Diligentsia platform, an “Investor” could be an angel investor, angel network, Venture Capital group (“VC”), Private Equity group ("PE") or a debt lender. We have an investor module with a bunch of features created to add value to their activities. Our investor dashboard is FREE if an investor adds a minimum of 5 companies to it in order to diligence or monitor them.
Q: What features do you have that should be of specific interest to investors?
The Diligentsia platform offers an investor a FREE dashboard if they add five portfolio companies to it. This then opens up a number of modules specifically aimed at investors. The modules are:
Automated due diligence checklists specific to the target company, its industry etc with completeness and risk scoring and reporting.
Automated Warranty Disclosure Schule and Directors Questionnaires for start of investment process - not waiting to find problems at the end.
A front end widget for the investor's web site which creates a bespoke sieve for unsolicited enquiries from companies seeking funding, but which also sets up a process and structure for further investigation of the investment opportunity.
Portfolio benchmarking.
Reporting on data room and business audit completeness in preparation for exit.
Q: Some of my companies already have their own data room. Why do they need yours?
Having a standardized data repository with the same folder structure across all your portfolio companies, with regular reporting saves everyone lots of time, and pinpoints omissions at an early stage. Your company can import its existing data room into Diligentsia using our Filing Assistant bot, which automates the process of allocating the data room files across our repository. We sync with Drive, Sharepoint and Dropbox, so they can continue to operate their cloud storage. If they are using a third party data room, Diligentsia can save them a lot of money.
Q: What is the purpose of the Portfolio Index?
The purpose of the Portfolio Index is to assist advisors to standardize the presentation of, access to, and auditing of, your clients' corporate data, to assist you to add value to their business and generate fees for your firm in assisting them to add value.
Q: Are there any specific tools for advisors on the Diligentsia platform?
Yes, the tools for Advisors include client benchmarking, a selection of reports which inform you of your clients' use of the platform, and a due diligence checklist creator.
Q: What is the investor module?
The Diligentsia Platform has three core blocks – Company block, Advisor block, Investor block. We have an investor module with a bunch of features created to add value to their activities. Q: Can the company add investors or potential investors to the module?
Yes. To add investors or potential investors to the module please go to Company Settings > Investor Permissions.
Q: Can the company restrict what each investor sees on my platform/account/company?
Yes. To restrict what each investor sees on your platform/account/company please go to Company Settings > Investor Permissions. There are three levels of access:
Access all areas, with editing capability.
Access all areas - view only.
Access restricted to Company Index and Company Dashboard information.
Q: Can the company edit/delete advisor permissions?
Yes - To edit/delete advisor permissions please go to Company Settings > Investor Permissions.
Q: My investor has set up my company on your platform. What is going on?
Don't worry! Your advisor has set up a number of its clients on our platform, and before they can access your information there is a process for you authorizing their access to your company on our platform. You should have received, or will shortly receive, an email asking you grant access to them. You can restrict that access (there are several levels).
Q: Why does Diligentsia or my advisor want to grant my advisor access to the platform?
Our platform has been set up to assist everyone add value to your company. Granting your investor access (there are different levels of access) will assist them in helping you.
Q: I am concerned that an advisor has unauthorized access to my company on your platform.
