How to quickly configure your point system?

The point system is a way to make your customers and members even more loyal to your store or chain. In Diller, there are many different ways to use points as benefits. This article shows you the quick way.

Which variations are possible

The most common point systems are:

  1. Standard bonus: 1 point for every unit of currency spent

  2. Points as currency

  3. Standard bonus ladder (member levels: Bronze – Silver – Gold)

  4. Bonus ladder with various membership benefits

  5. Recurring coupon

To activate the point system

  1. Log into Diller Retailer (Dashboard)

  2. Go to Settings → Point system

  3. Click the Activated checkbox, then click Save

  4. Choose the Qualification period and the Points expire after time — these are usually 12 months, but you can also choose 24 or 36 months

  5. There is an option to Keep member level in next qualification period — only check this if members retain a fixed benefit at a certain level, e.g. a permanent 5% discount for reaching Gold. If the benefit only applies to one or two purchases, leave this unchecked

  6. Add membership levels — some POS systems require a minimum of one level, so if you do not want multiple levels simply add one for "Member" at 0 points

  7. Remember to click Save once done

Please note

  • Any changes made to the point system will first take effect the following day

  • If you have connected a website to the loyalty program, it will need to reconnect to fetch the updated levels or points required for each level
