The Branding settings in Docupath allow you to customize the platform appearance by uploading a custom logo that represents your organization or white-label partner. The logo displays consistently across the platform interface and is essential for creating a branded user experience. SVG format is strongly recommended for crisp, scalable rendering, though PNG is also supported at 300x120 pixels. Browser caching may delay logo display updates after upload.
How It Works
Accessing the Branding Settings
Navigate to Settings in the main menu
Select System Settings
Locate the Branding section
Find the Logo Upload area
Uploading a Custom Logo
Method 1: Drag and Drop
Open the Branding section in System Settings
Locate the logo upload box with the message "Drag and drop your logo here"
Drag your logo file from your file explorer into the upload box
The file is validated immediately upon drop
Successful uploads trigger a confirmation message
Method 2: Browse File
Click the Browse or Select File button in the Branding section
A file picker dialog opens
Navigate to your logo file location
Select the logo file and click Open
The file is validated and uploaded automatically
Logo File Requirements
Preferred Format: SVG
Resolution-independent and scalable to any size
Renders crisply on all devices (desktop, tablet, mobile)
Smaller file sizes than equivalent PNG
Preserves quality at high zoom levels
Acceptable Format: PNG
Must be exactly 300 x 120 pixels
RGB or RGBA color mode
Maximum file size: 2 MB
May appear blurry on high-DPI displays; SVG is preferred
Unsupported Formats:
JPEG, GIF, BMP (will be rejected with error message)
EPS, PDF, AI (vector formats; must be converted to SVG)
Testing and Verifying Logo Upload
After successful upload, refresh your browser page
The logo should appear in the top-left corner of the platform interface
Test logo rendering at different zoom levels (75%, 100%, 125%)
Verify logo appears in:
Header navigation
Login/welcome screen
Document viewer
Mobile app (if applicable)
Browser Cache and Logo Updates
Why Logo Updates May Not Appear Immediately:
Browsers cache CSS, images, and interface assets to improve performance
Cached logo files may persist even after uploading a new version
Cache duration varies by browser settings (typically 24-48 hours)
Methods to Force Cache Refresh:
Hard Refresh (clears all cached assets):
Windows/Linux:
Ctrl + Shift + RMac:
Cmd + Shift + R
Clear Browser Cache:
Open browser Settings > Privacy/Security
Select "Clear Browsing Data"
Choose "All Time" for date range
Check "Cached Images and Files"
Click "Clear Data"
Incognito/Private Mode:
Open a new Incognito or Private window
Navigate to Docupath; fresh logo should display
Different Browser:
Test in a different browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge)
Isolates cache issues to specific browser
Wait for CDN Propagation:
Logo updates may be cached by Docupath's content delivery network
Allow 1-2 hours for global propagation
Removing or Changing Your Logo
Return to Settings > System Settings > Branding
Click the Change Logo or Remove button (if logo is currently set)
To upload a new logo, simply upload a new file; it automatically replaces the previous one
The system keeps no logo history; previous logos cannot be recovered
White-Label Partner Considerations
For White-Label Implementations:
Each white-label partner tenant has its own isolated branding settings
Logo uploads are customer-specific; no sharing between tenants
Each logo is securely stored within that tenant's data environment
Branding changes affect only that tenant's user interface
Deployment Checklist for Partners:
Finalize logo design and export in SVG format
Test logo at actual size (100% zoom) on desktop and mobile
Verify color contrast for accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA minimum)
Upload and cache-clear before tenant goes live
Communicate logo update timeline to end-users if changing existing branding
Verify across all user-facing pages (login, dashboard, reports, export headers)

Integration Points
User Interface Rendering: Logo embedded in platform template and rendered on all pages
Content Delivery Network: Logo served via CDN for performance; updates propagate with typical CDN latency
Browser Session Cache: Cached by browser until explicit cache clear or expiration
Mobile App: Logo synced to mobile application (if deployed); may have separate update cycle
Email/Export Headers: Logo may be included in exported PDFs or email notifications (if configured)
API Responses: Logo URL may be included in API responses for third-party integrations
Known Limitations and Edge Cases
Fixed Placement: Logo position is fixed in top-left header; custom positioning is not supported
Single Logo Only: Only one active logo per tenant; multiple logos or logo variants are not supported
No Logo History: Previous logos are not retained; uploading a new logo permanently replaces the old one
Cache Delays: Logo updates may not appear immediately due to browser and CDN caching; hard refresh may be required
Format Conversion Limitations: EPS, AI, and PDF files must be converted to SVG externally; automatic conversion is not available
High-Resolution Display Issues: PNG logos may appear blurry on Retina/4K displays; SVG strongly recommended
Brand Compliance: No brand asset library integration; logos must be manually updated if brand guidelines change
Mobile Rendering Variance: Logo may display differently on mobile devices due to screen size and resolution variations
Responsive Sizing: Logo size is fixed; responsive scaling to different screen sizes may not be supported
