Usage of the messaging option

This tutorial guides you through enabling and using messaging in Tutorum. This feature allows trainers and learners to communicate effectively within the platform.

1. Enabling messaging (Administrator only)

To enable messaging, you must be an administrator of the platform.

  1. Log in to the portal as an administrator.

  2. Go to Settings.

  3. Navigate to Customization.

  4. Select Options.

  5. Enable the Tutorum Messaging option.

Once activated, the Messaging option appears in the side menu for trainers and learners.

2. Using messaging for learners

Learners can contact their trainers via the integrated messaging system.

Access messaging

  1. Log in to the portal.

  2. Go to the relevant training course.

  3. Navigate to the Messaging section.

Send a message

  1. Click on New message.

  2. Select the trainer's name.

  3. Enter the subject of the message.

  4. Write the message content.

5. Add attachments if necessary.

6. Click Send message.

Notification to the trainer

  • A notification is sent to the trainer via email.

  • A link in the email provides direct access to the message.

3. Using messaging for trainers

Trainers can view and respond to messages sent by learners.

Access messages

  1. Log in to the portal.

  2. Access messaging through one of the following options:

    • From the training course: go to the Messaging section.

    • From the main menu: select Messaging in the side menu.

Read and reply to messages

  1. Select a message.

  2. Write a response.

  3. Add attachments if necessary.

  4. Click Send.

4. Quick access to messages

When a trainer receives a message, they can access it via:

  • The link in the email notification.

  • The Messaging menu in the left sidebar.

  • The Messaging section within the relevant training course.
