How to setup deposits or partial payments when a customer makes a booking

Scenario

Your customers want to book with you but prefer to pay down a deposit and pay the rest later with you

Example

You offer a vehicle detailing shop and would like to offer the option to pay the amount in full or pay down the amount partially.

Set Up

  1. Create a new variant on the product you are offering for the Payment Type. The two options are Payment in Full or Deposit Only. The Payment in Full would change the price to reflect the entire amount. The Deposit Only would change the price to reflect the partial amount.

  2. Ensure your product description and Event Notes are updated to say that the booking being created is for a deposit only.

  3. When a customer selects deposit only and check out, they will only pay for the partial amount. When they arrive in person, they will pay the remainder to you in person.

Note: The Easy Appointment Booking app has no way of reconciling the transactions for the deposit & the remainder of payment. This will be managed by your POS and accounting systems.
