On Demand Productions are for small quantities of products that were not planned as part of the Fixed Productions. For example, if you've run out of stock of an item unexpectedly you can use On Demand to log the production of more stock.
Setting an On Demand Production
Navigate to Production > Production Planner and click the ‘Product Control’ button for todays date.
Click ‘Review’ on the On Demand production - this will be at the bottom of the table.
In the ‘Select a product’ dropdown find the product you would like to produce.
Add in the quantity you want producing in the ‘Planned’ and assign who will be making this product.
You are then able to complete the Product Control checks for the On Demand items.
Unlike with Fixed and Variable Productions there is no need to do Bench Planning for On Demand Productions, this is due to the adhoc nature of On Demand.
