Summary
Once a day's production is settled, the hub makes the combined total, then sends each spoke its share. The hub dispatches from its Dispatch tab; each spoke receives on its Hub delivery tab, recording what arrives. Both sides are covered below, under On the hub and On the spoke.
For planning the quantities that feed into this, see Planning Hub & Spoke Productions.
Hub - from production to dispatch
Dispatch comes at the end of the production run, after two steps that finish the make:
Plan benches. Work the day's aggregate through bench planning as a standalone site does - see Bench Planning. Select Benches in the bottom bar to move through to it.
Complete the PCR. Review the finished benches - confirming who made each item, the quantity made and rejected, and the quality and label checks - and submit. See Completing a PCR. A Bench review submitted confirmation appears.
⚠️ Once you begin planning benches for a production, its quantities are locked so the bench schedule and dispatch stay consistent.
Dispatching to the spokes
Select the Dispatch tab and choose the production from the dropdown (for example, Production 1). The table lists each recipe with:
Column | Explainer |
Made | How many were produced in this run. |
[Hub] | What the hub keeps for itself. |
One column per spoke | How many to send to each spoke - editable. |
Dispatching | The total going out across all spokes. |
Adjust the per-spoke boxes to match what you're sending - it may be that you didn't make enough to fulfil all requests.
If you allocate more than you made, the hub's own column turns red with a negative number and the recipe is flagged with ⚠ - hovering explains it, for example Over-allocated: 6 to spokes but only 2 made for this run.
When the quantities are correct, select Dispatch, choose the spokes to send to, and record the delivery details:
Field | What it's for |
Temperature (°C) | The temperature the goods leave at, for food-safety records. |
Vehicle | Which vehicle is carrying the delivery. |
Notes | Anything the receiving site should know. |
Select Dispatch to send. A confirmation appears and the day is marked Pending until the spokes confirm receipt.
Spoke - receiving your delivery
Once you have saved your requested quantities and the cut-off for changes has passed the next step would be waiting for the Hub to dispatch your items to you. When the hub dispatches, the delivery appears on your Hub delivery tab of the Production page.
Each delivery is headed with its production and dispatch time - for example, Production 1 - Dispatched Tue, 04 Aug 2026, 10:44 - and shows the temperature, vehicle, and an In transit status.
Go through each product and set how many you're accepting against the Agreed plan, using the stepper. If you accept fewer than were sent, the row shows the split (for example 2 / 4) and marks the difference as rejected.
Add a Delivery note if you need to record anything about the delivery.
Select Confirm delivery.
⚠️ Confirming a delivery locks the accepted quantities and updates your stock levels, so check the counts before you confirm.
The hub is notified of what you accepted or rejected, so both sides' records match.
