👩‍🏫 Quick Start Guide for Private Teachers

Are you new to the platform? This article will show you how to get started: create an account, create your first class, add a student, prepare teaching materials, schedule a lesson, and conduct your first class.

Follow the main steps

To get started, we recommend following this order:

1. Sign up → 2. Create a class → 3. Add a student → 4. Add teaching materials → 5. Schedule a lesson → 6. Conduct your first lesson.

1. Sign up for the platform

  1. Create a teacher account.

  2. Complete the registration. Enter your name, country, and time zone.

After registration, you will be taken to your profile. By default, the Classes section will open — this is where you can immediately start creating a learning environment.

If you already have an account, simply log in.

💡 Important: Your trial period starts from the moment you register your account. For 7 days, you can use the platform's features for free to explore the platform and get started.

2. Create your first class

After registration, go to Classes and click Create class.

There are two types of classes and a marathon available for online learning.

👤 Individual class

Suitable for lessons with one student.

When creating a class:

  1. Select Individual class.

  2. Add a cover if needed.

  3. Enter the name.

  4. Click Add.

The cover can be a JPG or PNG image up to 5 MB.

The name can contain letters, numbers, and other characters.

💡 One student can have several classes, so we recommend choosing clear and recognizable names. For example:

English — Anna

IELTS Preparation — Maxim

After creating the class, you will automatically be taken to the new class.

👥 Group class

Suitable for lessons with several students.

When creating a class:

  1. Select Group class.

  2. Add a cover if needed.

  3. Enter the group name.

  4. Create the class.

After creating the class, you can also immediately open the virtual classroom and start preparing it.

🏃 Marathon

Use a marathon for self-paced learning. You can add participants, teaching materials, and assignments, configure access, and track students' progress through the program.

💡 What should you choose?

If you teach one student — create an individual class.

If several students attend the lessons — create a group class.

If you plan to offer self-paced learning — create a marathon.

3. Add your first student

Open the Students section and click Create student.

Enter:

  • email;

  • name;

  • native language.

After creating the student, their login details will be sent to the email address provided.

If necessary, you can find the login details in the student's profile and send them to the student yourself.

Through the class profile

Open the class profile:

Сlick Add a student:

There are three options.

Add via link

Copy the link and send it to the student.

After following the link, the student can:

  • sign up for the platform or log in to an existing account;

  • automatically join your class.

This option is convenient if you want the student to create their own account.

Add manually

You can create the student's profile yourself.

Enter:

  • email;

  • name;

  • native language.

📌 Important: Make sure you select the student's correct native language — it affects the correct operation of the Dictionary feature.

Add an existing student

If the student is already in your account, select them from the list and add them to the new class.

This is useful if the same student takes several different classes with you.

4. Add teaching materials

Now prepare the materials you will use during the lesson.

In the class, you can: 📚 Select a ready-made training material or ✏️ Create your training material.

📚 Select a ready-made training material

Click Select a ready-made training material and open the Catalog tab.

Here you can choose ready-made materials from the platform.

You can:

  1. open a textbook;

  2. view its structure;

  3. select a module;

  4. preview a lesson before adding it;

  5. open a lesson in preview mode.

If the material is suitable, click Pin.

The lesson will then be added to your class.

✏️Create your training material.

If you want to use your own assignments, click Create your training material.. Select the teaching language and click Continue.

The constructor will open, where you can create the exercises and teaching materials you need.

The material you create:

  • will automatically be available in the current class;

  • will be saved in the Materials section;

  • can be used again later.

Learn more about working with the material constructor in the separate guide.

5. Schedule your first lesson

Once the class is created, the student is added, and the materials are ready, you can schedule a lesson.

There are three ways to create a lesson.

👤 Through the student's profile

Open the student's profile.

Go to the schedule, select an available time, enter the lesson details, and create the lesson.

This option is convenient when you are scheduling a lesson for a specific student.

👥 Through the class profile

Open the profile of an individual or group class.

Go to the class schedule and select the date and time for the lesson.

This option is convenient when you are already working with a specific class.

👩‍🏫 Through your schedule

Open the Schedule section. You will see your schedule and can choose a suitable available time for a new lesson.

This option is convenient when you first need to check your availability.

After creating the lesson, it will appear in your schedule. Check the lesson date, time, and duration before it starts.

6. Conduct your first lesson

When it is time for the lesson, open your schedule. Find the lesson you need and select Enter classroom.

To start a joint lesson, the student needs to:

  • log in to the platform;

  • enter the virtual classroom.

When the student joins, you will see their active avatar in the classroom.

During the lesson, you can use the virtual classroom features and complete interactive exercises.

🎉 You're all set!

What else can you configure?

Once you are familiar with the basic features, we recommend exploring the platform's additional options:

  • ⚙️ profile and interface settings;

  • 📚 creating personal materials;

  • 🖥️ working with interactive whiteboards;

  • 🎓 additional virtual classroom features.

💡 You don't need to learn everything at once. For your first lesson, it's enough to set up your account, check your schedule, choose a material, and enter the virtual classroom.
