Teacher's landing page and lesson requests

How to create personal landing page and get lesson requests from students

Updated over a year ago

Every teacher on Edvibe can create their own landing page, which is a one-page business card website aimed at introducing themselves and attracting students. You create a page where you describe the language you teach, your accomplishments, your students' achievements, your experience, and how your lessons are conducted. The student familiarizes themselves with this information and sends you an enrollment request.

Now let's go through the steps of creating a page and filling it with information.

How to enable landing page

In your account, go to the Classes tab and select the Requests tab (1). All the requests from students that they leave on your landing page will be visible here. Activate the My landing page toggle (2), then click on Configure (3).

You will be taken to the editing page of your future landing page. It consists of 11 blocks. Some blocks are mandatory to fill out, while others can be hidden or rearranged. Let's start with the mandatory blocks.

Header

The first block is the website header. It will be attached to the top of the page even when scrolling. Here, you need to upload a profile picture, provide your name (or page name), and enter the text for the button that will lead to the application section for the student.

Main block

Below is the main block. Here, you can choose the background color of your landing page, upload your photo or logo, write a heading, add a subheading or a short persuasive text, specify the button text for the application form, and write a short call to action with an arrow pointing to the button.

Application block

There are two more mandatory blocks at the bottom of the page. The application block is used to collect the student's contact information. Here, you can set the background and customize the field names for collecting the student's contact information: name, email, and phone. Don't forget to provide a button label for the student to click after entering their information.

Confirmation window

The last mandatory block is the confirmation window. This window is displayed to the student after they submit the application. Fill in the heading, subheading, and button text. In this block, you can simply thank the student for providing their information and tell them that you will reach out.

Publish

At this stage, you can already publish your landing page. Click the Publish button.

You will see the link to your landing page, which you can send to students, as well as preview the website you have created.

After publication, the website will look something like this.

Hiding and rearranging blocks

As you can see, there is minimal information about you so far. Let's expand this information using the remaining blocks. If necessary, you can rearrange them using arrows or hide them using the toggle switch.

About Me

Tell about yourself in this block. Here, you can provide any textual information that will help potential students learn more about you and your lessons and make a decision to submit an application. You can also include links to your social media profiles in this block.

Video

If you have a video presentation or examples of lessons on YouTube, you can add a link here.

Statisitcs

In the Statistics block, you can add any statistical data, such as the number of students you have taught, the number of lessons conducted, the average academic performance of your students, average exam scores they have achieved, and so on. Each set of statistical data has its own line and emoji icon.

Types of Courses

In this block, you can describe the areas of your work and the prices for your courses. You can choose a different background color for each course.

Sample Lessons

Here, you can showcase examples of lessons you have created on the platform. First, fill in the fields for the title and the button label that will lead to the lesson example. Then, click on "Add a lesson" and insert the link to the desired lesson. To copy the lesson link, find it in your personal materials and click on the arrow.

Copy the Preview link, which is located at the top.

Go back to the landing page editing page and paste the copied link. Repeat this step for each lesson you want to demonstrate.

Reviews from Students

This block is useful if you collect reviews and want to showcase them to potential students. To fill in the block, enter the block title, student's name, review text, and add the student's photo.

Warning: Do not upload screenshots of reviews instead of student avatars - photos cannot be enlarged, and the text will be too small. If you want to add screenshots instead of text reviews, use the following block (you can rename it to "Reviews").

Certificates

You can also upload your diplomas and certificates to the landing page and show them to students. Fill in the title and add images of your certificates.

Questions & Answers

Specify the most frequently asked questions and their answers in this block. This will significantly save your time.

Finished landing preview

Now, your page is filled and ready for publication. It looks like this:

Finished landing publish

Click the Publish button, and your page will be published.

The platform will provide a link to your landing page, which you can copy and share on social media or send directly to students.

Receiving requests from students

For students, filling out the application form will not pose any difficulties. They will simply enter their contact information.

and click on the application confirmation window.

You will see all student applications in the Requests tab.

You can view the details of each application by clicking on the Details button. You can also add or modify information about the student and add them to the platform.

After that, the student will appear in the list of students, and you can begin the teaching process.

That's how quickly and easily you can create and customize your website. You don't need to spend a lot of time and resources, hire developers, or design it. The website will be ready in just a few minutes!
