Whiteboards for teachers
Create whiteboard templates
Now teachers can prepare a whiteboard template to use in different classes in advance. All templates are stored in Materials/Whiteboards.
Sort templates into folders
You can rearrange the templates or sort them into folders. To change the order of templates, hold down the left mouse button over the whiteboard for one second and drag it to a new position. To create a folder, hold down the left mouse button over the whiteboard for one second and drag one whiteboard onto another.
Share your templates
You can open the templates in preview mode and share them on the internet. Click the Share button, select the access type (if you want others to save your board to their profile, select 'View and Save'), copy the link and publish or send it over the internet.
Open your templates in virtual classrooms
You can quickly open templates you've created in virtual classrooms for private students or groups. If you already have something on the classroom whiteboard, you can erase everything before adding it, save the current content as another template, or merge what you have on the board with the open template within the same whiteboard.
Whiteboards in schools
For teachers of schools
Teachers of schools can work with folders and templates in the same way as private teachers. There are a few differences to note.
School whiteboards and school whiteboard folders
In their Whiteboards tab, school teachers have whiteboards created by a school administrator. These whiteboards have the School Whiteboard tag. School teachers' personal whiteboards have the Personal Whiteboard tag:
School whiteboards can be sorted into folders, which can be managed only by a school administrator.
School whiteboards are templates that a teacher can use in classrooms, but not edit or delete.
A teacher of school cannot:
delete a school whiteboard
edit a school whiteboard (change a title and cover)
manage folders created by a school administrator
A teacher of school can:
open a school whiteboard for preview, make changes, and save it as a personal whiteboard (Click Save as... in the menu)
open a school whiteboard in a classroom, work on it, and save this whiteboard as a copy (Click Save as... in the menu)
Sharing
Teachers of schools cannot share links to their whiteboards.
For school administrators
School administrators can work with whiteboards in the same way as teachers, plus they have additional rights.
School whiteboards
School administrators (head and staff members) can create whiteboards and folders that will be available to all school teachers. Such whiteboards will have the School Whiteboards tag for a teacher.
School whiteboards are templates that a teacher can use, but not edit or delete. They can only save a copy for themselves.
Whiteboard sharing
Only administrators can share the school whiteboards on the internet.
Whiteboard access limitation
When creating and editing a whiteboard in the school administrator's account, the Access tab appears.
A school administrator can limit access to a whiteboard to certain teachers and administrators or restrict access for everyone.
Each whiteboard has an access tag corresponding to the settings in the Access tab.
