How to enable auto-translation for words?

Enter the virtual classroom with the student and click on the "Classroom settings" button.

Then activate the toggle switch for "Quick translation."

To use the automatic translation feature, your student or you need to select any text in the virtual classroom. The popup with the translation will appear.

Please note that automatic translation is performed from the language you specified in the course settings (the language being studied) to the student's native language.

Where is the dictionary located?

The teacher can only see it in the virtual classroom. Click the corresponding icon and the dictionary will open.

The student can also see it in their account in "My words" section.

How to add a word to the dictionary?

Each student has their own individual dictionary. The teacher can add words to the student's dictionary, or the student can do it themselves.

There are three ways to add words to the dictionary:

  1. Using the built-in translator: Select the word or phrase you want to translate in the text and click the "+" icon to add it to the dictionary.

  2. Enter the word manually: Click on the dictionary icon, type the word in the text field and click on the "refresh" button. The platform will translate the word, and you can add it to the student's dictionary (the students can follow the same steps).

  3. From the student's account in the "My words" section: The student independently adds a word to the dictionary.

In all cases, you or the student can add your own translation for the word by entering it in the corresponding field.

4. Using the "Wordlist" template: You add words and their translations to an exercise using a specific template. The student learns them and, if necessary, can add some words to their personal dictionary.

In the student's account, words added for learning are automatically grouped by lessons. They can be viewed and studied separately from the general word list.

How to edit or delete a word from the dictionary?

Editing a word in the dictionary:

In the virtual classroom, go to the dictionary and click on the "All words" button.

Click on the three dots next to the word and click edit.

Deleting a word from the dictionary:

There are two ways to delete a word from the dictionary:

  1. From the virtual classroom: You or the student can delete a word from the dictionary in the virtual classroom by clicking on the cross next to the word.

  2. In the "My words" section of the student's account: The student can independently delete a word. To do this, they need to select the word with a checkmark, click on the "Actions" button, and choose the "Delete" option.

Vocabulary trainer

The student can start learning words from the dictionary in two ways:

  1. From the virtual classroom: In the virtual classroom, the student can adjust the quantity of words and training stages but cannot select specific words for learning.

  2. From the student's account: The student can choose the words they want to learn by selecting them with checkboxes and start the Vocabulary Trainer.

The student has the option to learn words from a specific lesson.

After starting the Vocabulary Trainer, it is necessary to set the number of words to learn in the session.

You can also read the description of the training modes and, if necessary, remove any unnecessary ones.
