Not sure how to get started with the schedule? This article will help you on your way.

Updated over 3 months ago

Making the schedule is probably the most important feature in Eitje. If you are about to make the schedule for the first time, the empty page might feel a bit overwhelming. This article will help you get started.

Before making a schedule, you you need teams and team members. Click on the links to learn how to add those.

Different views

While making the schedule you can easily switch between two views: per team and per team member.

When would you choose per team?

  • You want to know what the schedule for Team Service looks like.

  • You want to know how many hours are planned for a specific team.

  • You want an overview of all the shifts in the kitchen.

  • You want to see the schedule of two venues under each other.

When would you choose this per team member?

  • You quickly want to see how many shifts are planned for a team member.

  • You want to see the availability of a team member for that week.

  • You want to check in which venue a team member is working that week.

When would you choose Planning as a table?

  • You want to assemble the table exactly the way you want. You can, for example, add, sort and pin columns. In addition, you can group the data, and apply multiple filters.

  • You can view the schedule for a specific period, such as the entire month or wage period.

  • You can easily select, edit and/or publish multiple shifts.

Schedule team members

When creating a shift you can select a team member or leave the shift open. Then it becomes an open shift and team members can sign up to pick up the open shifts.

You can schedule using the availability view. You can see who is available at a glance and drag the team member to a shift to assign it to them.

  1. Enable the availability under the 'View' button at the right top corner.
