Introduction
Using Announcements, you can communicate vital information to your team instantly via short 250-character posts. Encourage your team to develop a daily practice of checking Elemeno for new information with Announcements.
Details
Announcements can be simple 250-character posts or posts that also include a link to other content. There are 4 types of content to which you can link from your Announcement:
Link - Direct your users to destinations outside of your Elemeno instance.
Elemeno Resource - Direct your users to a resource that has already been published and is in your Elemeno library.
PDF upload - Upload a PDF that supports or provides more information.
Quick Post - Create a resource containing text, images, and links that will appear immediately.
Display
Six active announcements may be visible on the home page at a time. If you have more than six, a link will appear to the additional Announcements that can be viewed on another page.
As a best practice, we recommend that you have four or fewer at any time to maintain focus on the most critical, timely information.
You may enable one announcement to have Alert styling. You will configure this when creating the announcement. Alert styling will pin the announcement to the top of the list and give it special visual styling to set it apart from other announcements.
By clicking "View All," users can view the older announcements if there are more than six active at once.

"Alert: Pharmacy shortage of Albuterol." Link directed at a PDF with new treatment options.
"Night Rounds Gets a Face Lift! Check out this new rounding resource that will be used in CICU and PICU nightly starting March 18th." Link directed to a PDF of the new form.
Reminders
"Pediatrics - Syringe Pump location. Just a friendly reminder that Pediatric syringe pumps belong in the bottom of Cart #2 in bed 1 =)." Link directed to a Quick Post that had a photo of the correct location for supplies.
"PICC line maintenance reminder" Link directed to an uploaded PDF - Scrub the Hub
"RSV cases are still on the rise. Please review the RSV guidelines." Link directed to a resource in this client's library.
