Disciplines and Competition Formats

Overview of gymnastics disciplines supported in Elevien.

Updated over a week ago

Elevien is designed for gymnastics competition organizers, coaches, judges, and administrators. Elevien offers a scoring system, participant registration, a video result book to review results, and many other tools for competition management.

Scoring System

The scoring system is based on the official FIG Code of Points and currently supports the following disciplines:

  • Women’s Artistic Gymnastics (WAG)

  • Men’s Artistic Gymnastics (MAG)

  • Parkour (beta) – To enable this feature, contact the Elevien team at support@elevien.com.

Customizable Features

Some elements of the FIG Code of Points can be customized to better meet the needs of specific competitions and organizers. These customizable features are currently in beta and are available upon request by contacting the Elevien team at support@elevien.com.

So far, customization options include:

  • Mixed teams – teams composed of gymnasts from different categories

  • Additional apparatus – for example, non-standard apparatus such as physical preparation stations

  • Custom bonus rules – organizer-defined bonus criteria applied within the scoring system

  • Custom tie‑break rules — resolving ties when gymnasts share the same score.

Future Expansion

Our goal is to continuously expand the Elevien platform to include additional gymnastics disciplines and, over time, other sports as well.

If you have suggestions or requests for new disciplines or features, feel free to reach out to us.

Competition formats

Elevien supports multiple competition formats and adapts to the needs of organizers, judges, and gymnasts. Whether events take place in a gym, online, or somewhere in between, Elevien provides the tools to run competitions smoothly.

Offline Competitions (in-gym events)

Offline competitions are traditional, in-person events held at a physical venue. Gymnasts, coaches, judges, and audiences gather in the same location.

Elevien enhances these competitions by providing:

  • Video recordings of performances

  • Live scoring during the event

  • Automatically generated final results

This allows audiences to follow the competition in real time and revisit performances afterward. A typical example is a standard club or regional competition hosted in a gym, fully supported by Elevien’s recording and scoring tools.

Hybrid Competitions (in-gym and remote participation)

Hybrid competitions combine in-person and remote participation. Some gymnasts and judges are present at the venue, while others join remotely.

With Elevien:

  • Gymnasts can compete either on-site or from another location

  • Judges can evaluate routines from home or any remote setting

  • All scores and results are centralized in one system

This format reduces travel requirements and makes it easier for more participants to take part, while preserving official judging and competition standards.

Online Competitions (fully remote)

Online competitions take place entirely online and represent a modern, fully remote competition format. Gymnasts, judges, coaches, and audiences can all participate from anywhere in the world.

In this format:

  • Gymnasts perform from their own gym or another approved location

  • Judges score performances remotely

  • Audiences can watch and follow results online

Online competitions remove geographical barriers and significantly increase accessibility, enabling international participation without travel.

One platform, multiple formats

With Elevien, all competition formats are supported within a single platform. From local in-gym events to international online meets, Elevien provides the flexibility and reliability needed to organize, judge, and experience gymnastics competitions with ease.
