Guide - Using a Tablet

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Access your tablet link

The tablet PIN link is available through an "Owner" or "Pharmacist" account. Here are the steps to follow from your tablet:

1. On your tablet, log in to Empego, then click your name in the upper-right corner of the homepage.

💡 If you have more than one pharmacy using Empego and are logged in with an "Owner" account, make sure the correct pharmacy name is selected in the top-left corner of your screen, as each pharmacy has its specific links.

2. Select "Shareable public links."

3. In the "Shareable public links" section, locate "Tablet PIN link." Click the icon to copy the URL to your clipboard.

4. Log out of your Empego account by clicking your name again, then selecting "Logout."

🚨 This step (logging out of your Empego account) is essential to prevent patients from accessing the pharmacy dashboard. Also, never save your username or password on the tablet used in the waiting area.

5. Open a new tab in your browser and paste the copied link. You can then add it to your favorites for quicker access in the future.

  1. Open the Tablet PIN link.

  2. To the right of the address bar, select "Add to favorites" Ajouter cette page aux favoris.

  1. Open the Tablet PIN link.

  2. To the right of the address bar, select "Add to favorites" Ajouter cette page aux favoris.

  3. Name the page "Empego PIN."

💡 This link is public and does not require an Empego login. It only allows patients to access the questionnaire without the ability to navigate elsewhere in Empego.

🔗 To prevent patients from opening other apps on the tablet, we also recommend enabling kiosk mode.

Use of the "PIN for tablet" Feature by the Pharmacy Assistant

When a patient arrives at the pharmacy, and you want them to complete a questionnaire using the tablet in the waiting area:

1. Select the "Patient" option and then "PIN for tablet."

2. Select or create the patient. Please note that a telephone number must be entered even if the "PIN for tablet" option is selected.

3. Once all required fields are completed, a 4-digit PIN code is generated for the consultation.
This PIN can be used on the tablet to allow the patient to access their consultation.
