Map Drawing Tools

Drawing tools help you build and refine your event layout directly on the map. These tools allow you to add labels, measure spaces, organise objects, and manage your layout more efficiently.

Text Tool

Use the Text Tool to add labels anywhere on your map.

Once added, you can adjust the text and styling in the right-hand panel.

This is useful for:

  • Labelling areas

  • Adding notes

  • Marking zones

Measuring Tape Tool

The Measuring Tape Tool allows you to measure between points on your map. You can see the total distance as you click and move.

  • Click to start measuring

  • Click to add points

  • Double click to exit

This is useful for planning spacing and infrastructure placement.

Area Measurement Tool

The Area Measurement Tool allows you to measure spaces and zones. You can see the total area as you click and move.

  • Click to start measuring

  • Map out the zone

  • Double click to exit

This is helpful for:

  • Planning crowd areas

  • Measuring infrastructure zones

  • Calculating space requirements

Lock and Unlock

You can lock all objects on the map to prevent accidental editing.

Unlock objects again when you need to move or edit them.

This is particularly helpful once your layout is finalised.

Group Objects

To organise your map, you can group objects together.

To group objects:

  1. Hold Shift and select multiple objects

  2. Right click

  3. Select Group

Duplicate and Mirror

You can quickly duplicate or mirror objects.

To duplicate or mirror:

  1. Right click on an object

  2. Select Duplicate or Mirror

This helps when placing repeated infrastructure or layouts.

Layer Ordering

To manage where objects appear, you can send objects forwards or backwards.

This helps organise overlapping items and maintain clarity in your layout.
