Map Annotations

Annotations allow your team to leave comments, questions, and feedback directly on your event maps. They are useful for tracking changes, requesting updates, and collaborating with team members without needing separate emails or messages.

Creating Annotations

There are two ways to create an annotation.

Option 1: Add an Annotation to a Location on the Map

  1. Right-click anywhere on the map.

  2. Select Add Annotation.

  3. Enter your annotation details.

  4. Click Create Annotation.

The annotation will be linked to that location on the map.

Option 2: Add an Annotation to an Object

  1. Right-click on an object.

  2. Select Add Annotation.

  3. Enter your annotation details.

  4. Click Create Annotation.

The annotation will be linked directly to that object.

Managing Annotations

When annotations exist on a map, you'll see an annotation icon in the top toolbar showing the total number of active annotations.

Select this icon to view all annotations for the map.

From here you can:

  • View annotation details

  • Add comments and replies

  • Resolve annotations

  • Delete annotations

Tagging Team Members

You can notify team members by tagging them in an annotation.

To tag someone, type:

@username

For example:

@John Smith Can we move this fence line 5m further south?

Tagged users will receive an email notification and can respond directly within the annotation.
