One feature of the app is the recurring event feature where you can just create one event and set it to run daily, weekly, monthly, yearly, or thrice a week (For a step-by-step guide on configuring this feature, check out our comprehensive article: Getting-Started-with-Recurring-Events).
You can also set it up to have multiple timeslots for each day (For detailed instructions, refer to our dedicated article: Adding timeslots on your recurring event) So what will happen is the customer will have the option to choose a date and time of the event that they will be attending by clicking on the “Choose date and time” button.
Upon clicking the button, a pop-up calendar will show, showing the dates when the event is scheduled.
Now if you have timeslots for each day it will also show when your customer clicks on a date.
If you have inventory set on each timeslot, it will also show the remaining tickets available, a sold-out notification once all tickets are sold, and a red dot on the calendar.
Now, what will you do if you create a recurring event but the “Choose a date and time” button does not show?
The first step is to make sure that this feature is enabled.
1. To check this, you can go to the app Settings.
2. On the Settings page, click on "Storefront integrations."
3. On the "Storefront integrations" page, click on the "Recurring Events Scheduler" tab.
4. Now scroll down to Preferences and make sure that the option to Enable the date/time scheduler for recurring events is checked.
5. If not, put a check to enable the feature and then hit Save. This should solve the issue.
If the “Choose date and time” button is still not showing after enabling this, make sure that you refresh the screen or close the screen and open a new one. You can also wait a few minutes to give the system time to update (it is usually applied immediately but sometimes there is a lag in the system and you need to give it time to update).
Now if it still doesn’t show or it is already enabled when you checked it, it means an adjustment needs to be made on the back end. Please reach out to us and we’ll be happy to fix this for you.
