One of the features of the app is the recurring events feature, which allows you to easily create an event and have it recur on a daily, weekly, monthly, or other customized basis. This is very convenient for promptly scheduling and arranging events.

With this feature, you have the flexibility to assign various time slots for each event day and tailor each ticket variant to specific time availability.

For example, for a day tour running from 12 PM to 3 PM and a night tour from 7 PM to 10 PM, you can configure the day tour ticket to only display the timeslot of 12 PM to 3 PM when a date is selected.

Especially, if the night tour comes at a higher price point than the day tour, it's crucial to ensure that customers don't purchase a day tour ticket and then choose the 12 PM to 3 PM time slot meant for the day tour.

Here's how to set tickets to be available only for a specific timeslot.

For this article, the event has a day (10 AM - 11 AM and 11 AM - 12 PM) and evening event (7 PM - 8 PM and 8 PM - 9 PM).

The ticket for the day event is cheaper so we want to make sure that attendees who purchase day event tickets will only be able to book the 10 AM - 11 AM and 11 AM - 12 PM timeslots only.

First thing you will need to create your recurring event. If you need a guide on how to create one, you can view our article here.

Now, let’s set the event to only show the 10 AM - 11 AM and 11 AM - 12 PM timeslots when they choose the Day event ticket variant.

1. On the Event settings > Event tab > Calendar click on the 10 AM - 11 AM time slot.

2. Choose "Update all events in this series."

3. On the pop-up screen (same pop-up where you created the timeslot), scroll down and uncheck the option “All ticket types can be purchased for these events.”

4. After unchecking this, an option to choose a ticket variant will appear.

5. Click on the button that says "0 ticket types selected" and then choose the Day Event ticket variant.

6. It should now show 1 ticket type selected, now click "Save."

7. Repeat the steps for the 11 AM - 12 PM timeslot.

  • Click on the 11 AM - 12 PM time slot.

  • Choose "Update all events in this series."

  • On the pop-up screen, scroll down and uncheck the option “All ticket types can be purchased for these events.”

  • Click on the button that says "0 ticket types selected" and then choose the Day Event ticket variant.

  • Click Save.

8. Do the same thing for the 7 PM - 8 PM and 8 PM - 9 PM timeslots, but this time choose the Evening Event ticket variant.

Now, when a customer chooses the Day Event ticket, only the 10 AM - 11 AM and 11 AM - 12 PM timeslots will show.

And if they choose the Evening Event ticket, only the 7 PM - 8 PM and 8 PM - 9 PM timeslots will show.
