Why Are All My Attendees Getting Reminders Using the Attendee Message?

Updated over 2 weeks ago

If all of your attendees are receiving reminders, even when you intended to target only a specific group, it’s likely because no filters were applied when sending the attendee message. By default, Evey sends attendee messages to all active attendees unless you use filters to narrow your audience.

To avoid this and send targeted messages, follow the steps below:

How to Send Targeted Attendee Messages

  1. Set up your attendee message. If you're just getting started, here’s a helpful guide to creating your first message.

  2. Navigate to the Attendees section in your event dashboard.

  3. Click Attendee Message to start creating your message.

  4. Create your message template by writing the content you want to send.

  5. Use filters to target specific audiences:

    • Standard Filters: Just below the audience section, you’ll see basic filters to narrow your message recipients.

    • Advanced Filters: Click More filters to access additional options like filtering by ticket number range or other attendee details.

Note: If you skip adding filters, the message will be sent to all active attendees by default. Make sure to apply the appropriate filters before sending to avoid reaching unintended recipients.

By following these steps, you can send personalized reminders to the right attendees and improve communication for your event.
