Suppose a ticket is transferred and later canceled. In that case, the refund will always go back to the original purchaser, ensuring that the payment is returned to the person who initially made the transaction.

Here are the reasons why it goes to the original purchaser:

  1. Payment Tracking: The payment for the ticket is associated with the original purchaser's account. Even if the ticket is transferred to another person, the financial transaction remains linked to the person who initially bought the ticket.

  2. Refund Process: When a refund is processed, it is directed back to the source of the original payment. This means that the person who paid for the ticket will receive the refund, not the individual who received the ticket through a transfer.

  3. Ticket Transfer: Transferring a ticket only changes who can use it, but doesn't affect the original payment details.

Event organizers must clearly communicate this policy to customers to avoid confusion. If a customer who has transferred their ticket wants to cancel it and request a refund, they should be informed that the refund will be issued to the original purchaser, not the new ticket holder.
