Customers cannot cancel their tickets directly through Evey. To cancel a ticket, they must contact the event organizers.

Although Evey provides many features to streamline the event experience, a common question is why direct ticket cancellations aren't currently available.

Here are a few reasons for this limitation:

  • Avoiding Complex Refund Processes
    Ticket cancellations often lead to refund requests, complicating financial management for event organizers. By not allowing direct cancellations, Evey reduces the need to handle refunds, which can be time-consuming and error-prone. Instead, event organizers manage cancellations and refunds themselves, ensuring they follow their specific policies and condition

  • Custom Cancellation Policies
    ​Evey allows event organizers to set their own cancellation and refund policies. Although customers can't cancel tickets directly, organizers can offer refunds or exchanges according to their policies. These terms can be communicated clearly during the ticket purchase process, so customers understand them upfront.

  • Fraud Prevention

    Allowing customers to cancel tickets themselves could lead to security risks, like ticket manipulation or fraud. By having event organizers handle cancellations, Evey helps reduce these risks and maintains a secure platform for everyone.
