Customers cannot cancel their tickets directly through Evey Events & Tickets (Evey). To cancel a ticket, they must contact the event organizers.
Evey doesn’t currently support direct ticket cancellations for customers due to several reasons:
Avoiding Complex Refund Processes
Ticket cancellations often lead to refund requests, which can complicate financial management for event organizers.
By not allowing direct cancellations, Evey helps organizers avoid time-consuming and error-prone refund handling. Instead, organizers manage cancellations and refunds according to their own policies.
Custom Cancellation Policies
Evey allows event organizers to define their own cancellation and refund terms.
While customers can’t cancel tickets themselves, organizers may offer refunds or exchanges as outlined in their policy. These policies can be communicated during the ticket purchase process so customers understand them upfront.
Fraud Prevention
Letting customers cancel their tickets directly could create opportunities for fraud or ticket manipulation.
To help maintain a secure platform, Evey requires organizers to handle all cancellations manually.
