Why This Happens
Evey automatically syncs event names from your Shopify product titles.
Sometimes, special characters like the ampersand (&) don’t save properly when entered directly through Evey’s Event Settings page.
You might also notice that your title displays as “Wine & Cheese Night” inside Evey or Shopify.
This happens because Shopify automatically converts special characters (like &) into their HTML-safe format (&) to prevent code errors.
The Workaround
You can safely add the ampersand (&) by editing the product title directly in Shopify.
Step-by-Step:
Open your Evey Dashboard.
Find your event in the list (e.g., Wine & Cheese Night).
Click More -> Open in Shopify admin,
In Shopify, update the Product Title to include the ampersand symbol (for example: Wine & Cheese Night).
Click Save in Shopify.
Return to your Evey Dashboard and refresh the event list - your updated title will appear correctly.
