Why Does My Evey Events Ticket Inventory Keep Reverting to the Original Value?

If you update your ticket inventory under Event Settings and the value keeps changing back to what it was before, this is usually caused by a third-party inventory management app running on your store.

What Causes This?

Evey Events creates a corresponding product in your Shopify store for each event, and the ticket quantity you set in Evey syncs with that product's inventory.

If you have an inventory management or ERP app installed (for example, Pickware ERP & WMS), that app may be set up to automatically sync or overwrite Shopify product inventory based on its own records. When this happens, any change you make to the ticket inventory in Evey gets overwritten shortly after, making it look like your edit didn't save.

Note: This isn't a bug in Evey. It happens because two systems (Evey and the third-party inventory app) are both trying to control the same inventory number, and the third-party app's sync runs after Evey's update.

How to Confirm This Is the Cause

You can check this yourself using the Adjustment history on the ticket:

  1. Open your event inside your Products Section

  2. Find the ticket variant that keeps reverting → view its Adjustment history

  3. Look for two entries close together: one showing your manual change taking effect, followed shortly by another entry showing the value being changed back, made by the third-party app

If you see an app name (such as "Pickware ERP & WMS") listed as the source of the reverting change, that app is the cause.

How to Fix It

Since the third-party app is the one overwriting the value, the inventory needs to be updated from that app instead of from Evey's Event settings:

  • Open the third-party inventory app (for example, Pickware ERP & WMS)

  • Update the ticket product's inventory quantity there

  • Confirm the change reflects correctly on the ticket in Evey

Updating inventory directly in Evey will continue to be overwritten as long as the third-party app is actively syncing inventory for that product.

Avoiding This Going Forward

  • If you regularly need to adjust ticket quantities, make those changes in whichever app is set as the source of truth for inventory (in this case, the third-party ERP/WMS app), not in Evey.

  • If you're not sure which app is managing your inventory, check your installed apps in Shopify for any inventory, ERP, or warehouse management tools, and review their sync settings.

  • If you'd rather have Evey be the source of truth for ticket inventory, you may need to adjust or disable inventory syncing for ticket products within the third-party app's settings.
