Why Are Tickets Showing as Sold Out Even Though There Are Still Tickets Available?

Updated today

Evey Events allows you to limit the number of tickets available per event, a useful feature for events with limited capacity or general admission seating. However, there may be times when tickets show as “Sold out” even though you know tickets are still available.

What Causes This?

When you create an event in the Evey app, you can set the number of tickets available. Once the event is saved, Evey automatically creates a corresponding product in your Shopify store.

Just like any product in Shopify, this ticket product also has an inventory setting. The ticket quantity set in Evey syncs with the product inventory in Shopify.

⚠️ Note: Editing the inventory directly in Shopify can cause discrepancies.

This can lead to tickets being marked as sold out on your product page, even if Evey shows tickets still available.

How to Avoid Inventory Mismatches

To prevent “Sold out” errors:

  • Always edit ticket inventory directly in the Evey app.

  • Avoid changing ticket quantities from the Shopify product page.

Doing this ensures that both platforms stay in sync and display accurate availability.
