The Slack integration keeps your team's channel in sync with what's happening in Examply. Connect a channel to get notified when tasks move, and turn any Slack message into a task without switching apps.
This is useful for client-services teams especially: a client asks for something in a shared Slack channel, and instead of copying the request into Examply by hand, you turn the message itself into a task with the full context already attached.
Note: The Slack integration requires a Starter plan or higher, and you'll need permission to add apps in your Slack workspace.
Connecting Slack to a project
Open the project, for example Website relaunch, and go to Project settings → Integrations.
Select Slack and click Connect.
Sign in to Slack and choose the workspace you want to connect.
Pick the channel that should receive notifications, such as
#website-relaunch.Choose which events to post: task created, task completed, due date changed, or comment added.
Creating tasks from Slack messages
Once Slack is connected, hover over any message and select More actions → Create Examply task. The message text becomes the task title, and the Slack permalink is added as the task description, so anyone who opens the task can jump back to the original conversation.
Hover over the message and click the More actions icon.
Select Create Examply task.
Choose the project and, optionally, an assignee.
Click Create task.
You can also create a task directly with a slash command: /examply Follow up with Priya on the staging build.

You can connect Slack to as many projects as you like, and each project can post to a different channel. Notification preferences are set per project, so a busy channel can turn off task-created notifications while keeping task-completed ones on.
Choosing an assignee from Slack
When you create a task from a Slack message, Examply suggests an assignee based on who's mentioned in the message text. If a Slack account is linked to an Examply teammate, such as Priya, selecting her name assigns the task directly. If nobody's mentioned, the task is created unassigned and shows up on the project's Board in the first column.
Disconnecting Slack
To disconnect, go to Project settings → Integrations → Slack and click Disconnect. Tasks created from Slack messages stay in Examply. Only future notifications and message-to-task creation stop. Reconnecting later lets you choose the channel again, which doesn't have to be the same one.
