How do Fair HQ calculate our Inclusion score?

This article explains how Fair HQ calculate your Inclusion score, and what might be considered a "good score"

Updated over a week ago

Your inclusion score reflects employees' perceptions of life at your company. You might be expecting to see the average score for every employee, but averages hide disparities, meaning that minority voices can be drowned out by the majority.

At Fair HQ, we pay special attention to disparities in people's experiences. That's why we amplify minority voices in your inclusion scores. This way we can draw out gaps in perceptions between different groups โ€” which point to something to work on.

So, to get a good score in Inclusion, you should be aiming for a high agreement between the groups in your company and broadly positive scoring across the survey. If you're scoring above 7.5, then you've met those conditions, and you can give yourself a pat on the back!

Here's how the scoring is broken down:

7.5 - 10 (186+)

Advanced

5.0 - 7.49 (125 - 185)

Intermediate

1 - 4.99 (0 - 124)

Beginner
