FOR EXPERIENCE MAKERS: Best Practices

Updated over 6 months ago
  1. Start by listing all your Fernwayer Experiences on paper. Note how long each one lasts and the best time of day for each based on your knowledge of local operations (e.g., market hours).

  2. Consider the number of guides you manage—if you operate solo, make sure your calendar is meticulously coordinated to avoid double bookings across your Experiences. If you have multiple guides for different Experiences, scheduling overlaps may not pose a problem.

  3. Consider if local attractions included in your experiences are open or closed. For instance, if a tour includes a market closed on Sundays, avoid scheduling it for Sundays.

  4. Use this information to make a weekly plan. Ensure that there are no scheduling conflicts between experiences.

  5. A strategic approach would be to schedule your Experiences multiple times a week to ensure that travelers visiting your city for a few days have the opportunity to participate in at least one of your offerings and ideally create an itinerary for themselves that includes a few of your offerings.

  6. Drawing a simple weekly calendar on paper might help you see and manage any overlaps.
