Finding the Sales Pipeline
The location of this new feature is under the More tab in the Top Navigation. Click the dropdown, and select Pipeline to get to this page.
How to Navigate
The Sales Pipeline follows this path for tracking the status of leads:
New > Contacted > Proposal Sent > Follow-up Needed > Converted to Customer
It also has tabs to view All leads, and Lost leads.
How to Filter
To Filter through the leads, you can search by Sales Rep, Creation Date, Value, or Tags. First select Add Filter, then check the box for what you're filtering by.
Then click the light grey box to the right to see your options under that topic.
Add a New Lead
To add a new lead, first select Add Lead in the top right corner of the page.
After that, you'll get this page on the right side of your screen. It allows you to quickly add the key information needed to track a lead, rather than completing a whole customer profile.
Adding an Opportunity Type
After completing the lead information, you can choose an opportunity type. These options allow you to choose what kind of lead this would be. Examples are: General Pest Control, Wildlife Control, Lawn Care etc. After selecting, you can also add specific details about the opportunity.
Note: Under the opportunity type, you can only select one option at a time.
Saving the Lead
When you are happy with the information listed under your new lead, click save in the top right corner of the page.
Now the lead will pop-up on the main Pipeline page with the information you added, if they've been sent any proposals, and their monetary value so far.
Log Activity
This is what it looks like when you click on the Lead from the Pipeline page. From here you can select Log Activity in the upper right.
After clicking Log Activity, this is the page you see. This is an efficient way for your sales team to track their work. From here you can select an Activity Type, Date, and Time. Then you choose the Outcome of the activity and take any notes necessary.
Schedule Follow-Up
This is optional, but if you'd like to plan your next Activity with this lead, click the Schedule follow-up checkbox. After that, add the date. Finally click Log Activity to save your data.
Lead Status Changing
You will see that after making contact with your lead, the status changes to Contacted. Know that at any point you can manually update the customer status with the Change status to dropdown menu.
Status Meanings:
New - No contact has been made, brand new lead
Contacted - You have logged Activity with this lead
Proposal Sent - You have created either an Agreement or Estimate and sent it to the lead
Follow-up needed - You need to call back this lead and follow-up with them
Lost - lead is no longer interested
Note: The Convert to Customer option is under this Change Status to dropdown, this automatically creates a customer account and transfers over any customer information, agreements, and estimates made while they were a lead.
Create an Estimate or Agreement
From the lead page you can create an estimate or an agreement that is attached to the lead. To do so first click Create, then Agreement/Estimate. Then fill out your information like usual and send it to your client.
Note: After sending the Estimate or Agreement, the lead status changes to Proposal sent.
Converted to Customer
When the lead accepts the proposal, it will switch into the Converted status. This section is the location of any leads that turned into customers, and the customer account is automatically created when this status change happens.
Note: Once a lead is converted, you cannot undo that action.
