Summary

Smart Folders let you save your filter searches for you to access later. Smart Folders can be used in any of the Sales categories: Estimates, Work Orders, Invoices, and Payments.

Key Points

  • Create the criteria you want to save

  • Click the Save button in the upper-right corner

  • Give the Smart Folder a name

To use Smart Folders:
In this example, we search for unpaid invoices for the current month.

  1. From the Dashboard, click Sales

  2. Click Invoices

  3. Click the text box below From:

  4. Click the first day of the current month

  5. Click the text box below To:

  6. Click the last day of the current month

  7. Under Status click Unpaid

  8. Click the Filter; all the unpaid invoices for the current month appear

  9. Click the Save button in the upper-right corner

  10. Give the Smart Folder a name, such as Unpaid <current month/year> invoices

  11. Select [X] Share this folder with other users so other users can see it

  12. Click Save Changes

The filter is now saved. You don't have to repeat these steps tomorrow.

To access the Smart Folder:

  1. In the upper-left corner of the page you see Invoices next to a folder icon.

  2. Click Invoices

  3. Click Unpaid <current month/year> invoices
