There can be a lag time between the sync and what you see in QuickBooks

Summary

When you sync Fieldwork with QuickBooks the sync sends over all Estimates, Invoices, and then Payments. You can see how the sync went from Settings/Quickbooks

Key Points

  • We report Yes to the sync when we get that confirmation from QuickBooks

  • The sync process is a one-way sync from Fieldwork to QuickBooks

We report Yes to the sync when we get that confirmation from QuickBooks. (So if you're questioning a sync, the item has to be in QuickBooks somewhere.)

Sometimes there is a lag on one of those documents showing up and it doesn't appear updated in QuickBooks.

Note The sync process is a one-way sync from Fieldwork to QuickBooks. If you add estimates, invoices or payments in QuickBooks they will not be reflected in Fieldwork. To manually sync, add the payments in Fieldwork first, then sync to QuickBooks.

In QuickBooks:

  1. Click the magnifying glass in the upper right corner

  2. Type in the document number (estimate, invoice, or payment number)

  3. Press Enter

  4. You should see the document

Also, if you get a QuickBooks error message: Error: execution expired, check the QuickBooks developer site to see if they are reporting any issues: http://status.developer.intuit.com/
