Summary
Placeholders are used in emails for Work Orders, Invoices, Late Payment Reminders, and in Email Campaigns and Service Agreements.
A placeholder will pull the corresponding field from the customer's account into the email. They automatically pre-fill the email so you don't have to manually enter the information.

For example, if you start the invoice email with Hi {first_name}!, the system will pull the first name of the customer from the first name field in the customer's billing page.

To insert a placeholder, click your mouse in the email template box where you want the placeholder to be. Then, on the right side of the template box, click the placeholder you want to insert.
This is a sample email template for Invoices using the placeholders {first_name} and {document_title}.

Here is an example for the Service Report email using various placeholders:
