If you’re using Edge to plan your workouts and want to sync them with your Garmin watch, you’re in luck! With just a few taps, you can seamlessly send your training sessions directly to Garmin Connect, allowing you to follow structured workouts straight from your wrist.
In this guide, we’ll walk you through the simple steps to link Edge with Garmin and transfer your workouts effortlessly.
Step 1: Connect Edge to Garmin
Before you can send workouts to your Garmin watch, you need to link Edge with Garmin Connect. Follow these steps:
1. Open the Edge app on your phone.
2. Navigate to your Profile or Settings section.
3. Look for the “Connected Apps” option.
4. Select Garmin Connect and follow the instructions to log in and link your account.
5. Once connected, Edge will be able to send workouts directly to Garmin.
✅ Tip: Make sure you have the Garmin Connect app installed on your phone and that your Garmin watch is synced via Bluetooth.
Step 2: Send a Workout to Garmin
Once Edge and Garmin Connect are linked, you can send workouts to your watch with just one tap.
1. Open your scheduled workout in the Edge app.
2. Look for the share icon in the bottom-right corner of the screen. (See the image above for reference!)
3. Tap the icon, and a pop-up will appear asking if you want to “Share to Garmin”.
4. Press “Yes”, and your workout will be sent to Garmin Connect.
✅ Tip: You should see the workout appear in the “Training” section of Garmin Connect, where you can sync it to your watch.
Step 3: Start Your Workout on Your Garmin Watch
Now that your workout is in Garmin Connect, it’s time to get running!
1. Sync your watch with Garmin Connect (this usually happens automatically).
2. On your Garmin watch, go to Workouts or Training Plans (depending on your model).
3. Select the workout you just sent from Edge.
4. Hit Start, and your Garmin will guide you through the session.
