You can cancel a shift yourself in the dashboard, and you can cancel several at once if your needs have changed.
Cancel as early as you can. If a worker has already been approved, they've planned their week around that shift and may have turned down other work to keep it. Late cancellations cost them money.
You'll be asked for a reason. It's worth giving a real one, because it helps us understand your staffing and spot patterns.
If a worker was already booked, we let them know. You don't need to contact them yourself, though if you have a good relationship with a regular it's a decent thing to do.
We do keep an eye on cancellations. Florence works because both sides can rely on a booking, so we may get in touch if we notice a lot of shifts being cancelled at one location. That's usually a conversation about forecasting rather than anything else.
If you need the shift moved rather than cancelled, don't cancel it. Call us on 647-247-4916 or email partners.ca@florenceapp.com and we'll change the time instead, so you keep the worker.
If the shift is starting within the next few hours, call rather than email.
