How to Freeze and Unfreeze a Work Order to create a Read-Only Work Order

Disable the ability to make any changes to a work order by freezing it.

1. Click on your user name to open the Action Menu

2. Click "Global Settings"

3. Click "Work Orders"

4. In the Permissions section scroll down and look for "Show freeze work order button"

5. Enable this based on user permission.

Keep in mind if they can enable a freeze they can also disable the freeze.

6. Once enabled head to the work order you would like to make Read-Only and scroll down to the "Danger Zone"

7. Click "Freeze Work Order"

8. Confirm you action and Click "Freeze Work Order" or "Cancel"

9. You will see the date the work order has been frozen and also have the option to remove the freeze at any time.

10. You will see an icon on every work order indicating if it is set to read-only.

User will not be able to make any additional changes or comments, unless the freeze is removed.
