First things first, what are Options? Options are basically placeholders for reservations that the guest still has to confirm. Many restaurants use them for group reservations that come in by phone. The handy part: you can immediately send a payment link by email.
Why Options ar useful
An option gives both you and your guests flexibility:
The guest receives an email to confirm or decline the reservation.
If the option is confirmed → it automatically becomes a real reservation.
If the guest does nothing → the option expires and the table becomes available for others again.
How to create an Option (and send a payment link)
In the Table View, click on the + Reservation button.
Select the ticket you want to use.
Check the box Option.
Set when the option expires (day and time).
Enter the guest’s email address (otherwise the guest will not receive an email). If you have selected a Ticket that requires a downpayment, the payment link will automatically be added to the email.
How to recognize Options in FRANK
In the Table View, options are transparent and display a timer.
In the List View, you see a checkmark or a cross on the right (accept or decline).
Good thing to know about working with Options
You can use Options for any type of Ticket: with or without a deposit.
For a Ticket without a deposit, the guest only needs to click accept or decline.
For a Ticket with a deposit, a payment link is automatically included.
