How can I close my restaurant for a day (or multiple days)?

Learn how to close your restaurant for one or multiple days so guests cannot make a reservation during that period of time.

National holiday, special occasion, or a well-deserved team vacation — sometimes your restaurant just needs a break. With FRANK, you can easily make sure guests can’t book on those days.

Two ways to close your restaurant:

1. From the Reservations Overview

  1. In the Reservation Overview, click Open (or Closed) in the bottom right corner.

  2. Set the period you want to close your restaurant.

  3. Optionally, add a calendar message so guests see a clear notice.

  4. If needed, set an area limit to restrict the number of guests in a specific area (note: this is not a daily limit for the entire restaurant).

  5. Don’t forget to click Save.

2. From the Shifts Overview

  1. Go to Manage → Shifts

  2. Click on Special & Closed days at the top

  3. Click + Special & Closed days to add one or more days on which your restaurant is closed.

  4. Select a color to keep things organized.

  5. Choose how long you want to remain closed.

  6. Add a calendar message here too, so guests are informed. Don't forget to fill in all languages if you use a multi-language widget.

  7. Set an area limit if necessary.

  8. Click Save to confirm your changes.
