Your table setup is the foundation of your availability. Based on your tables, FRANK automatically calculates which reservation times are available.
Want even more control? You can use different types of limits to manage the number of guests or reservations you accept during specific moments.
This allows you to spread reservations throughout the day, prevent peaks during service, and ensure your team can continue delivering the best guest experience.
Below you'll find an overview of all the limits available in FRANK.
Maximum guests or reservations per time slot (pacing)
Use Pacing to limit the number of guests or reservations within a specific time slot.
This helps distribute reservations more evenly throughout the service and prevents too many guests from arriving at the same time.
You can set up pacing on the dat itself via Reservations → Pacing
In the pacing overview, you can now use the '+' and '-' buttons to add or deduct guests or reservations.
Maximum reservations
Set a maximum number of reservations per day or service.
Once this limit is reached, no additional reservations can be accepted, even if tables are still available.
You can set up maximum number of reservations via Manage → Setup → Maximum number of reservations per 15 minutes.
Maximum guests or reservations per shift
Limit the total number of guests or reservations during a specific shift.
For example, you can set a different maximum for lunch and dinner.
You can set up limits per shift via Manage → Shifts → Click the Shift you want to apply limits for → Occupancy → Seating limits

Maximum guests or reservations per ticket
Control the number of guests or reservations linked to a specific ticket.
This is useful when you want to limit availability for events, special menus or other ticket-based reservations.
You can set up limits per tickets via Manage → Tickets → Click the Ticket you want to apply limits for → Availability.

Area limits
With an area limit, you can set a maximum number of reservations or guests for a specific area of your restaurant.
This gives you more flexibility in managing capacity across different sections.
You can set up area limits via Reservations → Open → Area limit.
You can now use the '+' and '-' buttons to limit the number of guests who can be seated in an area at the same time on days when this configuration is active. Note that this does not set a full-day limit for that area.
Close one or more days
Want to temporarily stop accepting reservations?
Simply close one or multiple days in your calendar. Guests will no longer be able to book on those dates. Perfect for holidays, private events or exceptional closures.
You can close a day or period via Reservations → Open → Set the day or period you want to close.
Which limit should I use?
