If you notice flickering or flashing lights in your RoboCap recordings, this may be caused by the frequency of indoor lighting.
This is more likely to occur in locations that use 50 Hz AC power. Changing the RoboCap camera settings can help reduce or eliminate the flickering.

Step 6: Choose the Recommended Use Scenario

Recording Environment | Recommended ISP Scenario |
Outdoor / natural light | Outdoor / Natural Light |
Indoor with visible light flickering | Reduce Light Flicker |
Indoor with visible light flickering and blur | Reduce Light Flicker and Motion Blur |
For indoor recordings where flickering is visible, we recommend Reduce Light Flicker and Motion Blur.
This setting reduces flickering caused by indoor lighting while also helping reduce motion blur.
After selecting your scenario:
Click Save camera settings.
Wait for the message "Device confirmed the camera settings" to appear. This confirms that the settings have been saved.
Go back to Live Preview and check whether the flickering has been resolved.
Step 7: Test the Recording
After changing the setting:
Record a short video in the same environment where you previously noticed flickering.
Stop the recording and wait for RoboCap to finish saving it.
Connect the RoboCap to your computer and review the video files.
Check whether the flickering has been eliminated or significantly reduced.
If you move between indoor and outdoor environments, you may need to change the Use Scenario to match your recording environment.
