How to Pair RoboWrist to RoboCap

Follow the steps below to pair one or more RoboWrists with your RoboCap.

Before You Start

Make sure:

  • RoboCap is powered on and connected to a power bank. Keep it connected throughout the pairing process.

  • The RoboWrist or RoboWrists you want to pair are charged and powered on.

  • You have a computer or mobile device available.

  • You know the 16-character RoboCap device ID. Guide on How to find RoboCap ID

Power On the RoboWrist

For each RoboWrist you want to pair:

  1. Press and hold the red button to power it on.

  2. Confirm that the RoboWrist is powered on before continuing.

If you're pairing two RoboWrists, repeat this for both devices.


Step 1: Turn On the RoboWrist Wi-Fi

For each RoboWrist you want to pair:

  1. Locate the black button on the right side of the RoboWrist.

  2. Press and hold the black button to turn on its Wi-Fi hotspot.

  3. Wait for the indicator light to flash purple.

A flashing purple light indicates that the RoboWrist Wi-Fi is active.

If you're pairing two RoboWrists, turn on the Wi-Fi hotspot on the other RoboWrist as well.


Step 2: Connect Your Computer or Mobile device to the RoboWrist Wi-Fi

On your computer or mobile device:

  1. Open your Wi-Fi settings.

  2. Find the Wi-Fi network starting with Robowrist_.

  3. Connect using the password: 12345678

If you're pairing two RoboWrists, you'll need to connect to and configure each RoboWrist separately.


Step 3: Open the RoboWrist Control Center

Once your computer or mobile device is connected to the RoboWrist Wi-Fi:

  1. Open a browser.

  2. Enter 192.168.12.1 in the browser address bar.

  3. The RoboWrist Control Center will open.

The Control Center includes:

  • Device Bind – Configure which RoboCap the RoboWrist should connect to and set its wearing position.

  • Basic Info – View information about the RoboWrist, including its device ID.


Step 4: Find the RoboWrist Device ID

  1. Open Basic Info in the RoboWrist Control Center.

  2. Find the RoboWrist Device ID.

  3. Copy or save the device ID. You will need it later when pairing the RoboWrist through the RoboCap Control Center.

Keep the device ID somewhere accessible while completing the remaining steps.


Step 5: Configure the RoboWrist

In the RoboWrist Control Center:

  1. Open Device Bind.

  2. Enter the 16-character RoboCap Device ID in the Host ID field.

  3. Under Position (Worn On), select where the RoboWrist will be worn:

    • Left wrist

    • Right wrist

  4. Click Save Config.

If you're pairing another RoboWrist, repeat Steps 2–5 for the other device.

⚠️ Important: Make sure you select the correct wrist position for each RoboWrist.


Step 6: Open the RoboCap Control Center

Now configure the RoboCap to recognize the RoboWrist.

  1. Connect your computer or mobile device to the RoboCap Wi-Fi.

  2. Open a browser.

  3. Enter 192.168.11.1.

  4. The RoboCap Control Center will open.


Step 7: Add the RoboWrist to RoboCap

  1. Open Device Pairing.

  2. Find Add Paired Device on the right side of the page.

  3. Enter the RoboWrist Device ID you saved earlier.

  4. Click Confirm Pairing.

A message will appear showing:

Pairing request sent. Waiting for device confirmation.

Wait until the status changes to: Device confirmed pairing

The RoboWrist will then appear in the Paired Device ID list.

If you're pairing two RoboWrists, repeat this process using the device ID of the other RoboWrist.


Step 8: Reboot the Devices

After all RoboWrists have been added:

  1. Reboot the RoboCap.

  2. Reboot the RoboWrist or RoboWrists.

  3. Wait for the devices to complete the pairing process.

During pairing, the RoboWrist's red indicator light will flash rapidly.

When pairing is successful, the red indicator light will remain solid.


Step 9: Confirm the RoboWrist Is Paired

After the devices have rebooted and the RoboWrist indicator remains solid red:

  1. Connect your computer or mobile device to the RoboCap Wi-Fi.

  2. Open 192.168.11.1.

  3. Go to Device Pairing.

  4. Find the RoboWrist in the paired device list.

  5. Check its status.

The RoboWrist should show Online.

When the RoboWrist appears as Online, it is successfully paired with your RoboCap.
