I cannot scan a checkpoint on the test drive

Updated over 5 months ago

If you see the error message "Oops! There's a problem with the checkpoint scan. Please re-do the scan." during your test drive, it usually means that the number on the cone isn’t clear enough for the system to read.

Here are some simple tips to help you scan the cones correctly:

  1. Position Your Bot Properly: Keep your bot at a distance where the cone’s number is clearly visible. Not too close, not too far.

  2. Face the Cone Directly: Make sure your bot is directly facing the cone to get the best view and avoid any obstructions.

  3. Use Camera Sensors: Use your bot’s camera sensors to scan, avoid bumping into the cones and to keep them in view.

  4. Adjust for Night Scanning: If you're testing at night, turn off your headlights to prevent reflections from interfering with the scan.
