Important Note: Full's inventory system is a "preference system." Guests are told that not all food is always available, and to make selections based on their preferences.
You do not need to track inventory counts or update inventory every day.
How to Manage Your Inventory
Managing your inventory is useful way to collect specific data from your guests.
Full's inventory does not currently allow for "counts" -- that means you do not need to know exactly how many items you have in stock, and you do not need to know exactly what foods will be available on a given day.
The Power of Preference and "Client Choice"
Full's inventory system allows you to collect people's preferences, such as specific type of protein desired. You can display many food options with Full, or very few. We have a preloaded food database with pictures, names, translations, and categories!
The useful thing about this system is that you do not need to constantly update the system and you can still learn about your community's needs. For example, you may find that a particular type of produce is frequently requested, or that a specific household item is popular.
You can then use this information for grants or requests from community partners. Imagine being able to show in data that 86% of your guests needed a specific item!
