Prerequisite
You will need to have access to Gable HQ. If you don't have access, please reach out to our support team support@gable.to
You will need to acquire your own Brivo API key. You should be able to get it from developer.brivo.com/apps/mykeys. If you need assistance with this, please reach out to your IT team or Brivo directly.
Configuration
Step 1: Enter your Brivo API key
Go to Company admin->settings->integrations-> Brivo and enter your Brivo API key (see prerequisite above)-> Save
Step 2: Grant API Access
2.1 On the prompted Brivo login dialog, enter your Admin ID and password to grant Gable with Brivo API access. Click Log in.
*Note: your Admin ID (vs. your ‘regular’ Username you use to login to Brivo) is required to connect your Gable and Brivo accounts. The password is the same one you use to login to Brivo. To find you Admin ID simply go to access.brivo.com and click on your user avatar/initials in the bottom left
2.2. Click Submit
Step 3: Set a notification slack channel (optional)
If set, we’ll send Brivo notification and errors to this channel.
*Note: this needs to be a private channel, ensuring private user data doesn’t end up showing in public channels. You’ll need to create the channel and invite the Gable app for it to show up in the dropdown.
Step 4: Choose mode
4.1 Auto check in
A badge swipe signs a user into Gable. If there is a pre-existing desk reservation, the employee will be checked into their desk. If there is no existing reservation, a desk would be automatically booked and assigned for them.
4.2 Check-in required
Employees must check-in to Gable before they can use their badge. If employees haven’t checked-in, upon badge swipe they would receive a notification (email, slack, app) to check-in into Gable before we can authorize their badge.
You’ll need to have a group created in Brivo and then select the groups that users will be moved into to grant them access permissions.
5. Map between Gable HQs and Brivo sites
You’re done!
