Genie is joining Doss to scale the mission we started together: better ops for entrepreneurial brands. As part of that transition, the Genie app will sunset on August 31, 2025.

1. What data can I export from Genie?
Products
Before shutting down your Genie account, you can self-export your products. This includes all of your products and their information. To do this, follow the step-by-step instructions here.
Purchase Orders
You can also export your purchase orders from Genie. This includes all of your open and closed/received POs. To export your POs, follow the step-by-step instructions here.
Shipments
Your shipments can also be exported from Genie. This includes all of your shipments and their information. To export your shipments, follow the step-by-step instructions here.
Inventory Table
You can export a snapshot of your inventory table, including all columns. Please note that step-by-step instructions for this export will be added soon.
2. What should I do before exporting?
To ensure that you are exporting all of your data, it's important to clear all filters before exporting. This will prevent any partial or filtered exports. Repeat this process for every dataset you need, including products, POs, shipments, and inventory.
3. Can I choose which fields are included?
For the inventory table export, you have control over which columns are visible and which filters are applied before downloading. For a full historical record, make sure to expose everything before exporting.
4. Does the PO export include closed or received POs?
Yes, the PO export includes all non-cancelled POs, both open and closed/received. This allows you to capture historical receiving and cost data.
5. Will my export include historical data?
Your export will reflect the data in your account at the moment you export it. If you need a point-in-time snapshot, it's best to export early and again later if needed.
6. Can Genie transform or reformat my data for another system?
Unfortunately, Genie is unable to run custom data transforms. With a limited team and over 300 customer migrations to support, we do not have the bandwidth to do so. We recommend exporting your data in its raw form and sharing it with your new platform or data team.
