This guide explains how to export your QuickBooks Desktop database for the pre-verification flow with Breezy.
Prerequisites
- A computer with QuickBooks Desktop installed
- Access to your company file(s)
Export Process
For Single Company File Users
1. Open QuickBooks Desktop
2. Go to File > Backup Company > Create Local Backup
3. Click the "Create Local Backup" button
4. Select "Save it now" when prompted
For Multiple Company File Users
1. Open QuickBooks Desktop
2. Open your specific company database first
3. Follow the same steps: File > Backup Company > Create Local Backup
4. Click the "Create Local Backup" button
5. Select "Save it now" when prompted
Final Steps
1. Choose your desired folder location for the backup
2. The file name will automatically include a timestamp (default naming is recommended)
3. QuickBooks will export your database as a .QBBackup file
Sharing the Backup
Once exported, you can share the backup file with the Breezy team for verification through:
- Google Drive
- Email

Along with the backup file, also include an admin Username and Password, which are necessarily to connect the Quickbooks Web Connector sync tool that is used for Breezy and Quickbooks Desktop to communicate with each other.
