Managing Donations

This guide helps you understand how to use Change's platform to view or manage your donations

Updated over 2 months ago

Change's Dashboard allows users to track, filter and export donation data. It simplifies donation management with clear insights and bulk upload options to streamline fundraising efforts.

Viewing/Exporting Donation Activity

  • To export existing donation records via CSV, go to the Donations tab on the dashboard, and click on "Export."

Additionally, there are several ways you can filter and view the donations: Status, Date and External ID

  • Status indicates the current status of the payout

  • Date would be the date when the donation was issued

  • External IDs are unique identifiers used by merchants on their end

The statuses included are:

  • Pledged - Donations will be collected on next invoice

  • Invoice sent - The invoice has been sent for this donation

  • Invoice pending - The invoice has been paid for this donation, and Change is waiting to receive the funds

  • Payout Scheduled - Donations will be sent out on nonprofit's next scheduled payout date

  • Sent via bank transfer - This donation has been sent to the nonprofit by bank transfer

  • Sent via check - This donation has been sent to the nonprofit by check

  • Check cashed - This donation has been received and cashed by the nonprofit

  • Nonprofit notified - Nonprofit has been notified of payout and will need to add a payout method to accept funds

Uploading batch donations

  • To manually upload donations in batches, go to the Donations tab on the dashboard and click on + Bulk upload.

  • From there, click on Open CSV template to create a file via Google Sheets to include all the donations you would like to upload.

  • Once you have filled out the template, save the file as a CSV and upload onto the dashboard.
