Campaign types

Choose the right campaign type for your outreach goal before you start building your sequence.

When you create a new campaign, the first thing you do is choose its type. The type determines which channels the campaign will use and which agent templates are available to you.

Basic campaign types

  • LinkedIn only. Sends connection requests, LinkedIn messages, and profile visits. Requires a LinkedIn URL for each contact. No email addresses needed.

  • Email only. Sends emails through your connected mailboxes. Requires a verified email address for each contact.

  • Email + LinkedIn (integrated). Combines both channels in a single sequence. Contacts need both a LinkedIn URL and an email address. The most powerful option for B2B outreach.

  • Email + LinkedIn + Calling. Adds a manual calling task step. The call is not automated — it creates a task in your inbox for your team to complete.

Agent-based campaign types

If you go to the campaign catalogue rather than creating from scratch, you’ll find pre-built agents organised by funnel stage:

  • Demand generation agents. Lookalike, competitor takeout, pre-trade show booking, pain point nurture, high-value content.

  • Lead engagement agents. Re-engagement of cold leads, LinkedIn content engagement, event follow-up.

  • Pipeline acceleration agents. Demo scheduling, no-show re-engagement, stuck deal follow-up.

  • Retention and win-back agents. Customer check-in, churn prevention, competitor-switch win-back.

  • Intel gathering agents. Gather win-loss analysis, market intel on competitors or usage, etc.

Agent-based campaigns use the same underlying structure — contacts, sequence, accounts — but start with a pre-built sequence. The campaign agent asks you questions specific to the campaign. Based on your replies or the knowledge assets that you provide the templates get populated.

Start with LinkedIn if you’re not sure which channel to use

LinkedIn consistently outperforms cold email for most B2B outreach. A LinkedIn-only campaign is simpler to set up and typically produces higher reply rates on the first run. Once you’ve seen what works on LinkedIn, add email as a second channel to increase reach.
