ICP per Campaign lets you define a unique Ideal Customer Profile for each campaign, so you can test different audiences, refine targeting over time, and get better results without changing your global settings.
What is an ICP? Your Ideal Customer Profile defines the types of companies and people Spear looks for, including attributes such as industry, company size, location, and job titles. The more accurate your ICP, the more relevant your prospects.
Key features
Company lookalikes: Enter companies that represent your ideal customer, for example, your best existing clients. Spear uses these as references to find similar companies and relevant contacts within them. Add around 10 lookalikes at once to get the best results; adding only 1 or 2 makes the ICP too narrow.
Enter the website domain of each company, e.g. spear.co
ICP score: Each ICP has a score at the bottom of the screen indicating whether there are enough prospects for the filters you've set.Green: Plenty of prospects available.
Got a red score? See ICP is too limited — what does this mean for step-by-step guidance?
Preview Prospects: On the right side of the screen, Spear shows a preview of prospects matching your current ICP filters. Review these carefully; if you spot profiles that don't fit, adjust your filters before launching.
Copy ICP across campaigns: Already have an ICP that works? Use the copy feature to reuse it across campaigns without having to rebuild it from scratch. Useful when running multiple campaigns targeting the same audience.
Why use ICP per campaign?
Running separate ICPs per campaign lets you test different segments side by side, compare results, and refine your targeting without affecting other active campaigns. It's the fastest way to learn what audience works best for your offer.
