Common questions that come up regarding Giftbit rewards

Can I exchange my Giftcard?

Once a gift has been claimed and the gift card information revealed, Giftbit is unable to exchange the chosen reward. Make sure you are certain before confirmation your selection.


What are claim by dates and expiries?

Claim By Date

Giftbit rewards can have claim by dates which are set by the sender. These can vary anywhere from 1 to 365 days from the date the reward was originally sent. Make sure to claim your reward before the date is reached, as Giftbit cannot reactivate rewards that are not claimed.

Expiry Dates

Retailer Expiry

Recipients should refer to the terms & conditions on each retailer gift card for details about the expiration of cards or value. Rules and regulations may differ country to country.

Prepaid Card Expiry

Prepaid Visa and Mastercard rewards generally will expire 6 months from the month you claimed it. So a reward claimed in October will expire at the end of April.

Some prepaid cards may have different expiry periods so be certain to check when your card expires and use the funds before the expiry period passes.


My Gift card is not Working

Giftbit does not generate the code, card number or PIN for the retailer gift card and we are unable to assist with retailer-specific inquiries.

If the retailer gift card is having problems, connect with that retailer as they will be able to provide further information about the issues being faced. Often support information for the retailer can be found on the bottom of the page containing the gift card information.


Unable to Claim my Reward

Page won't load/blank

If the page is not loading or showing up blank, try the below options:

  • Try an alternative web browser

    • Giftbit does not support Internet Explorer

  • Right-click on Claim Card or Select Gift button & copy the link. Open a web browser and paste the link rather than clicking the link to open.

  • Try Another Device

  • If you are using a work computer, settings on your device may be blocking you from accessing your reward.

If you are getting an error message, it is possible the retailer is having a temporary service interruption. Try giving your redemption a try at another time.


I Cannot Find the Reward Email

If you lost or deleted the email containing your reward, reach out to the sender as they can confirm the status of the reward, as well as do a resend of the reward if needed.

If the reward has been confirmed as sent and still does not arrive, here are some tips that you can do to make sure you can receive that reward:

  • Have the sender confirm what email address they used.

    • They may have a typo in the email they used.

  • Search in spam & junk for an email from gifts@giftbit.com.

    • If the message appears mark it as Not Spam or Not Junk.

  • Create a contact for gifts@giftbit.com in your email account

  • Double check if your inbox is full.

  • Did you unsubscribe from email communications from this sender?

    • You will need to resubscribe before the sender can contact you again.

    • Giftbit can help create a new subscribe link for you if this is the case.


What Happens to Cancelled Rewards?

If a reward has been cancelled it is no longer valid and cannot be redeemed.

Giftbit cannot reissue or reactivate cancelled rewards.
