Troubleshooting Errors

This article covers errors you may come across and how to fix them.

There are times when an error might pop related to the system, a template or possibly the browser you are using. This article covers the most common error types and how to best approach them.

Error 401: Unauthorized Browser

Error 401 will appear when Giftbit is having difficulty with permissions for the profile related to using an unsupported or outdated web browser.

How to Fix

  1. Ensure you are using Chrome, Safari, Firefox or Microsoft Edge

    • Giftbit does not support Internet Explorer

  2. If you are using a supported browser check for any pending updates


Error 403: Unauthorized Region

This error will only appear if accessing from a region that is unauthorized to use Giftbit.


Error 422: Brand Specific

Error 422 - The campaign order could not be completed due to an error. This error appears when your template contains a reward option that is no longer available or is temporarily unavailable.

How to Fix

  1. Open the template

  2. Select the rewards option section

  3. Save the selections

  4. Save and exit the template

  5. Resubmit the order

Error 422: General

Error 422 - The campaign order draft value provided is invalid. Can appear when there is an error with a contact upload or an issue with a specific order.

How to Fix

  1. Contact the Giftbit Team at support@giftbit.com

  2. If possible provide the following

    1. Order #

    2. Contact Email

    3. Order Name if the Order is in draft mode


Error 503: Service Unavailable

Error 503 will appear when the Giftbit system was unable to process actions or requests related to your Giftbit account.

How to Fix

  1. Retry the action or request

  2. If this persists for more than 5 minutes contact Giftbit support
